Weeks after she denied her plans to add to her family, Madonna reveals she will be adopting after all.
The pop icon has just been given the green light to adopt twin girls from Malawi, Stella and Esther, who would make her 5th and 6th child she adopted from this African country.
Happy news for both, Madonna and the lucky twins, was confirmed today in an official statement:
“Today the High Court made a ruling that she should go ahead and adopt the two children,” Mlenga Mvula explained. “Within a year she should provide us with a home survey report which the court has ordered her to provide.”
A 12-Month Observation Period
As OK! Magazine reports, Madonna will be under observation by the court for one whole year before the adoption process is officially complete, while a home study must also be submitted to authorities.
The 58-years-old star was happy to hear the positive ruling, although she previously denied plans she was planning to adopt two more children from Africa.
Namely, Madonna was recently seen in the African region, but decided to explain her visit a bit differently in order to keep her adoption plans under wraps.
“I am in Malawi to check on the children’s hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi,” she told Us Weekly.
Now we indeed know the whole truth. Congrats!
